Looking back, it feels inevitable that my path would lead to animals. Even as a child, I sensed something others couldn’t perceive.
There was a silent language flowing between us. This gift was always present, quietly waiting to reveal itself when I needed it most.
During a horseback ride in the desert, I was caring for an 18-year-old autistic boy. Suddenly, he panicked and tried to dismount. Unable to calm him, he began kicking the horse frantically.
Fear flooded through me. What would the horse do? In desperation, I silently pleaded: please don’t hurt him.
Then, impossibly, I heard the horse respond. “Don’t worry, I won’t rear up. I know this child’s energy is unstable.”
Time stopped. Every cell in my body froze in disbelief. Was this real?
Gradually, I understood something profound. As a matter of fact, I was the only one receiving the horse’s message.
True to his word, he remained calm and brought the boy safely down. Subsequently, when the trainer arrived, the horse communicated again: “You see? I kept my word.”
That moment changed everything. I realized I could give animals the voice they’ve been waiting for.
Furthermore, clear and consistent communication between humans and animals isn’t just possible. It’s essential for creating the harmonious world we all deserve.
Therefore, that realization became my life’s mission.
